IMPLEMENTASI MODEL TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENT (TGT) BERBANTUAN MEDIA ULAR TANGGA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PARTISIPASI BELAJAR EKONOMI SISWA KELAS X SMAS TUT WURI HANDAYANI

Abstract
This community service activity aimed to improve students’ learning participation through the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model assisted by snakes and ladders media for tenth-grade students at SMAS Tut Wuri Handayani. The main problem identified in the partner school was the low level of student engagement caused by teacher-centered learning and limited use of interactive learning media. The implementation method employed a community education approach consisting of initial observation, socialization, game-based learning implementation, mentoring, and evaluation stages. The participants were 28 tenth-grade students. The instruments used included observation sheets, student response questionnaires, and activity documentation. The results indicated that the use of TGT-based snakes and ladders media increased students’ enthusiasm, collaboration, communication skills, and active participation during learning activities. A total of 92.9% responses of students demonstrated improved participation and provided positive responses toward the educational game-based learning approach. Therefore, the TGT learning model assisted by snakes and ladders media proved effective in creating an active, enjoyable, and collaborative learning atmosphere and can serve as an innovative alternative learning strategy in secondary schools.
